20150630_105845.jpgSummer is fast approaching and that can only mean one thing: RIVERCAMP! Yes, Rivercamp! This year Rivercamp not only has added a second week but scholarships and goodies for Rivercampers as well! Learn how you can also send an under-served child to Rivercamp for free!

What is Rivercamp?

Rivercamp is an exciting, hands-on science camp where children, aged 5-12, will have the opportunity to explore nature as they splash in the Santa Ana River, hike the riparian forest, and learn how to better care for their environment. Rivercamp allows children to find their place in nature and provides them with a sense of empowerment as we teach students how their actions have an impact on their river, their community, and the world.

For every child who pays to attend camp, Waterkeeper matches that with a donation to send a child from an underserved community to Rivercamp for free.

When and Where is Rivercamp?

Rivercamp is set at the beautiful Martha McLean Park in the City of Riverside. Rivercamp will occur two weeks in the summer on June 26-30th and  on July 10-14th from 8am to 3pm.

Registration Information:

Parents can register their child through the City of Riverside at rivreg.org for $150 per child plus a $20 material fee (due the first day of camp). Summer registration will open on May 1st therefore, we recommend that you contact Waterkeeper staff to sign up for our waiting list to ensure a spot for your child.

Scholarships

Donations from community members and sponsorship from local businesses send under-served children for a week long experience in nature. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to families who can provide evidence of income-based government assistance
