Over 500 Volunteer attended the Annual Santa Ana River & Waterways Cleanup on September 30th. Community volunteers and organizations throughout the city came together to make a positive impact on their local waterways with 16 sites across the city.
Waterkeeper and community volunteers came together to clean two impacted sites along the Santa Ana River.
For the past ten years KRCB, partners, and volunteers come together to remove thousands of pounds of litter, trash, and graffiti tags, from various sites in the Santa Ana Riverbed. This annual beautification project is made possible by the dedicated, local agencies and organizations that share a vision of a healthy watershed. Such groups that have partnered with Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful and Riverside County Flood Control and Water Conservation District include the City of Riverside Public Utilities, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Riverside Police Department, Rivers and Lands Conservancy, Western Municipal Water District, and Farmer Boys.
