Huntington Beach

Description:
To join the largest cleanup in the nation, the Crest to Coast project takes part in the annual Coastal Cleanup Day to collectively improve waterways throughout California. With the help of over a hundred Arrowhead Brand Mountain Spring Water employees, the Crest to Coast program has contributed to the removal of nearly 500 pounds of litter from the Santa Ana River's output at Huntington State Beach.

Mill Creek

Description:
Mill Creek is one the most impacted waterways in the Inland Empire and can be accessed through the Mill Creek Wetlands in the Chino, Ontario, and Eastvale area. Although this site is not suitable for recreation, observations have noted locals fishing in the area. After consistent restoration events throughout the past three years, heavy debris such as mattresses, shopping carts, and green waste have effectively been removed from channels, improving water flow. An increase in fish and waterfowl in area have also been observed.

Santa Ana River at McLean Park

Description:
Located within a Riverside city park off Jurupa Avenue, the Santa Ana River is accessible through the Santa Ana River Bike Trail and is frequented by many local community members. Water levels provide the community with wading opportunities, riparian trails with nature hikes, and the park provides ample parking and other amenities to users. The Crest to Coast program allows for waterway restoration where plastic and Styrofoam food containers, bottles, spray paint cans, and tires plague trails and the river.

Santa Ana River and City Waterways Cleanup

Description:
The Crest to Coast project partakes in the largest, annual cleanup in Riverside through a partnership with Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful. Each year, over 500 volunteers help to remove tons of litter and trash at sites along the Santa Ana River and in the river bottom near Mission Bridge and at McLean Park.

Twin Creek off Orange Show

Description:
Twin Creek off Orange Show Road was our first Crest to Coast cleanup in San Bernardino for 2017. With over 50 volunteers, over 5,500 pounds of trash and other litter was removed from this site on Earth Day 2017.

Twin Creek

Description:
Following the success of Twin Creek on Orange Show Road, the Waterkeeper team headed upstream along Arrowhead Avenue to tackle a highly polluted site of Twin Creek. This site showed evidence of an abandoned camp. Over two thousand shopping carts, suitcases of clothes, and other matter was removed by volunteers of this creek.
