Rivercamp 2015

20150702_095732_(2).jpgNow that we have recovered from Rivercamp 2015, we are excited to say it was such a blast! Not only did registration increase, we were able to provide very deserving children with scholarships!

Rivercampers were excited to begin each day just as we were! Every morning, students sat in a circle to tune into nature then separated into their groups: Grasshoppers, Otters, Snakes and Falcons. While half the students splashed in the river, the other half started camp by participating in science-based activities. Some of the activities students joined in on include: rock identification/collection, owl pellet dissection, casts of animal tracks, meeting live animals and a fun human version of the classic Hungry, Hungry Hippos game with an invasive species twist to it!

We would like to conclude Rivercamp 2015 by thanking our amazing sponsors that have contributed to sending campers to Rivercamp completely free of cost to them and their families!
