INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Depending on the students’ interest, internships with Inland Empire Waterkeeper may include:

Marketing and Fundraising
  • Organizing fundraising events
  • Increasing membership through outreach activities
  • Contacting businesses and corporations for fundraising potential
  • Grant research and/or writing
Water Sampling and Analysis
  • Training in various water sampling methods and analysis
  • Sampling creeks, streams, lakes, or stormdrains
  • Drafting reports representative of data collection
Law and Policy
  • Researching environmental/water quality issues
  • Drafting comment letters for Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), letters of legislative support, or other opportunities for public comment in the regulatory process
  • Document retrieval and/or review
Website Development
  • Web site updates
  • Content revisions
