INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Depending on the students’ interest, internships with Inland Empire Waterkeeper may include:
Marketing and Fundraising
- Organizing fundraising events
- Increasing membership through outreach activities
- Contacting businesses and corporations for fundraising potential
- Grant research and/or writing
Water Sampling and Analysis
- Training in various water sampling methods and analysis
- Sampling creeks, streams, lakes, or stormdrains
- Drafting reports representative of data collection
Law and Policy
- Researching environmental/water quality issues
- Drafting comment letters for Environmental Impact Reports (EIRs), letters of legislative support, or other opportunities for public comment in the regulatory process
- Document retrieval and/or review
Website Development
- Website updates
- Content revisions
